Roy Smith - BDS (Glasgow) LDS (RCDS Ont) Dip Orthod (Toronto)
Dr Roy Smith, a native of Glasgow, graduated from Glasgow University Dental School in 1968 and then wrote his LDS in Ontario in Toronto in 1969. He then practiced general dentistry for six years in Ontario which gave him an in-depth knowledge of what problems are faced in general practice, which has been invaluable as an orthodontist. In 1975 he returned to the University of Toronto Dental School to do his Diploma in Orthodontics completing it in 1977 when he opened a private orthodontic practice in Hamilton, Ontario. Dr Smith practiced all facets of orthodontics in Canada including combined orthognathic surgery and orthodontics, orthodontics in relation to crown and bridge work, etc, for both adults and children, gaining a pre emptive expertise in adult orthodontics which was to serve him well when he returned to Scotland in 1996. He set up an orthodontic practice in Bellshill in 1996 which has thrived and become one of the biggest orthodontic practices in Scotland. He continues to practice orthodontics with the emphasis now on adult orthodontics. Roy is married to his wife Lynne, who is Canadian, and they have three sons Roderick, Aubrey and Gavin who are all university graduates.
His son Gavin is still studying in America on a golf scholarship and may pursue a career in golf. Roy’s hobbies are fly fishing for trout, golf, reading and travel and he spends quite a bit of his time in Portugal enjoying the sun and the fruits of his labours. However, he still maintains a keen interest in orthodontics. Roy has been an active Rotarian for some 32 years and in 2009 is president of Carse of Stirling Rotary Club. He has also been president of the Hamilton Academy of Dentistry, Canada, and has appeared on television and radio in Canada and has also published articles in the Scottish Dentist and the Ontario Dental Journal.

Krystyna - D.D.S.Ph.D
I am a dentist specializing in orthodontics, with more than twenty years of experience working as an orthodontist. During this time I developed not only my professional skills, but intrapersonal and social as well. I am a very open-minded and friendly person, willing to work with adults and children, always wanting to help my patients as much as possible.
I believe that the key to a successful treatment is not only the orthodontic knowledge I possess, but also a very good contact and communication with the patients. I always keep my patients informed as far as the treatment is concerned, trying to keep a smile on both our faces. I feel that my medical educational background, together with my experience and my attitude towards my work make me a very trustworthy and approachable orthodontist.
